About Me

Hello, I’m Aseel Al-Saheb, and I want to congratulate you for being here, as the stigma associated with mental health can be a barrier to seeking professional guidance, and you’ve overcome that!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I have completed my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and graduated from York University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have worked in various fields in Psychology and Mental Health. I believe each person has their own distinct life experiences and qualities that call for a tailored approach to meet their individual needs. Each obstacle presents a chance for personal growth, and with guidance, you can develop greater self-awareness. With that, we work collaboratively to explore the Past and the Present to Unravel themes and patterns within your life that could operate as obstacles to help you reach your goals.

I have 11 years of experience in Mental Health, and I use an integrative approach with Individuals and Couples. I utilize techniques from various evidence-based therapies, CBT, DBT, EFT, IFS, Person-Centred, Attachment-Based Therapy, Psychodynamic, CPT, and Gottman Method. We will explore your past experiences to gain a deeper insight into your present self. I offer Virtual (Video) Individual & Couples Therapy in both English and Arabic.

I aspire to provide a therapeutic environment that is safe, non-judgmental, and non-oppressive, allowing us to develop a healthy therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust, and acceptance. The hope is for the therapeutic process to help you change and gain skills that you can use outside of the therapeutic setting. Whether you are attempting to face life challenges or seeking to gain more control and insightful perspective on your life, I would be happy to walk the journey with you. Together, we Explore, Untangle, & Resolve
