Yes. Your privacy is taken seriously.

There are specific legal and ethical limits to confidentiality, such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or situations involving child protection or court orders. 

During the first therapy session, the therapist and client establish rapport and discuss the client’s reasons for seeking therapy.

The therapist gathers relevant background information to understand the client’s concerns and begins to assess their current symptoms and goals for treatment.

Virtual therapy can be highly beneficial, providing convenient access to mental health support from the comfort of one’s own home.

Research indicates that virtual therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy for many individuals, offering flexibility and accessibility to those who may face barriers to traditional face-to-face sessions.

A Registered Psychotherapist is a licensed mental health professional by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario who is qualified to assess, recommend, and treat a variety of mental health issues. 

Psychotherapists are qualified mental health specialists who offer evidence-based strategies for positive life improvements and assist you in understanding your suffering.

Invoices and receipts are provided for reimbursement purposes. Payment can be done via Credit Card or E-transfers.

If you’re in crisis, it’s essential to seek immediate help. You can reach out to emergency services by calling your local emergency number (911) or going to the nearest emergency room.

Additionally, many crisis hotlines and helplines offer support and guidance 24/7, providing a compassionate ear and connecting you with resources to help you through the crisis.

Unravel Therapy serves clients throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, including Etobicoke, Mississauga, North York, Scarborough, Oakville, Burlington, and communities across Ontario. Book your appointment here.

Fees are $140 for Individual therapy and $180 for Couples therapy.
